"Honor Guard"
The Central Montgomery County Veterans HONOR GUARD was formed in 2009 by two Vietnam War volunteers. With Springfield Rifles they honored a deceased Marine who received the Silver Star on Iwo Jima. More volunteers were recruited from local Chapter 349 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 25 of The Disabled American Veterans, Korean War vets and those who served in the Cold War.
With training, uniforms and support from area organizations, we have now a dedicated group of veterans willing to offer a final tribute. Families of recently deceased veterans
and area funeral directors contact through our Website www.VietnamVeterans349.org with information about the the location of the cemetery, date and time. Our volunteers are notified and we meet at the place of burial.
We of the Honor Guard are proud to offer a memorable and lasting experience to the families of those who served.
